The supermarket chain is making progress in the construction, in the town of Iruña de Oca in Alava, of what will be its key logistics platform for the north of the country. This project occupies a plot of over 111,000 m 2 at the Los Llanos industrial estate, and will enable the company to double its logistics capacity in the Basque Country and also boost its business in the north of Spain. With a surface area of 53,000 m 2, the new warehouse will be the supermarket chain’s second largest in Spain, as part of its ambitious expansion plan in the Basque Country whereby it aims to continue growing in the north of the country with new stores, more jobs and more purchases of local products.
